Katie Kaplan (b.1989, Pittsburgh, PA) is an artist living and working in Philadelphia.  In her multi-disciplinary practice, a core focus on printmaking expands into sculpture, textiles, video and installation. Kaplan currently works as the studio technician in the Fibers and Material Studies Department at Tyler School of Art, where she also maintains a natural dye garden. She is frequently involved in applying her artistic labor to cultural organizing, activist art and mutual aid projects, work that is intrinsic to her practice as a whole.
